Last Hurrah to The Hamptons // Sept 2020

The Hamptons // Sept 2020 | Amanda Zampelli

For Labor Day weekend 2020, Tom and I headed back to The Hamptons for my LAST *summer* HURRAH (before whatever this crazy new COVID school year becomes) and celebrated his sister Julia’s birthday.

Here are some things that happened on this trip…

I made a grid of beach findings…

I made a mini crab friend…

I wore my favorite jumpsuit and ate a slice of the most delish white truffle pizza…

I sang “Happy Birthday” to Julia and tried a piece of her tiramisu…

I looked up at the trees and breathed the air in deep and slow…

I pretended I was a mermaid and did that ‘deep end of the pool’ jumping I used to do as a kid…

I ordered a Blue Moon at The Clubhouse and enjoyed how the light was flickering on the menu…

I listened to “One Hand in My Pocket” and couldn’t believe Tom ate Angie’s whole veggie burger without realizing it wasn’t real meat.

I snuggled a whole bunch with this guy and almost burst with gratitude.

Now that summer is really over (summer is really over???) it’s back to school for me. This Labor Day Weekend last hurrah got me as rested and ready as I’ll ever be, and here’s to finishing the rest of 2020 strong! xoxo

PS - Want to hear something fun? On every trip I’ve taken, I have a unique and up-close experience with a wild animal. In Sept 2019: wild turkeys. Feb 2020: deer. May 2020: a Robin & its eggs in a nest and a woodpecker. July 2020: a frog. Sept 2020: A WHALE! // This never ceases to amaze me.
