DAY IN THE LIFE // SEPT 2, 2020

life is a question mark | Amanda Zampelli

The rest of 2020 feels like a big question mark, but what I do know for sure is that this run at home since the whole world closed down in March has been a unique experience for all of us. For me, it’s meant wonderful quality time with the kiddies (kitties), Tom officially moving in with me, appreciating the simple things, doing the days, reflecting, organizing my space, and feeling satisfied & thankful.

Today we are leaving for our fourth (!!!) trip to The Hamptons this year and not coming back until Monday, which is Labor Day. The following day starts whatever this next year of school will be (it’s literally anyone’s guess). That being said, yesterday: SEPT 2nd, 2020 felt like it was my last day to spend “with” my apartment…HOME…doing everything and nothing at the same time, like I’ve been doing for the past five and a half months.

Sooo…on a whim in the early morning, I decided to document my day in my Instagram stories. You can see screenshots from the video below (I tried to embed the video, but it wasn’t uploading correctly. deep sigh.) I made my December Daily list and checked it twice, I got a rapid COVID test, I recorded an episode of the podcast with Kristin, packed for The Hamptons, burnt the couscous, and spent an exorbitant amount of time with the cats. DUH.

…and that’s it. Thanks - as always - for visiting. I hope you enjoy your weekend to the fullest that any of us possibly can in this moment in time. Something tells me when we return, the feeling of fall will be undeniable. xoxo
